About Dr. William Sanders
Dr. Sanders received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University in 1980 and an MD degree from the University of British Columbia in 1984. He completed an Internship at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver in 1985 and was in private Family Practice for 20 years. In 1994 Dr. Sanders obtained a diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine and then went on to obtain extra training in Rheumatology and certification in Acupuncture from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. From 1993 to 2005 Dr. Sanders had a referral practice in Sport Medicine and became a local expert in, and teacher of, soft tissue and joint injection techniques. This led Dr. Sanders to expand his repertoire into Botox and Restylane aesthetic treatments as well as Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy for varicose vein disease. Dr. Sanders obtained further training in laser therapies and has developed a unique skill set that allows him to provide a comprehensive array of non-surgical laser, vein, aesthetic and skin care services.

Dr. Sanders is a member of both the Canadian Society of Phlebology and the American College of Phlebology, both leading world organizations dedicated to the treatment of venous disorders. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian College of Family Practice. In his spare time Dr. Sanders likes to spend time with his family, play the piano, kayak, cycle and ski.

About Dr. April Sanders

Dr. April Sanders obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Simon Fraser University in 1975 and her MD degree from the University of British Columbia in 1984. In 1984 she graduated top of her class in Psychiatry, Orthopedics and Surgery. She went on to complete an Internship from St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver in 1985. Dr. Sanders was in private Family Practice for over 20 years with a special interest in women’s health issues. “Dr. April” took a sabbatical from medicine between 1997 and 2001 and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing Okanagan-Vernon holding the positions of Education and Mental Health critic while in Government. Dr. Sanders also has a diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine and is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Family Practice.

She is a member of the Canadian Phlebology Society and the American College of Phlebology and has obtained comprehensive training in Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy. She is also certified in both Botox and Restylane injection techniques. In her spare time “Dr. April” likes to jog, ski, cook, sew, paint, and read.
