Sciton Profile Microlaser Peel
If there was one tool to improve ageing and sun-damaged skin this is it. The Sciton Erbium:Yag laser is the most advanced laser for skin resurfacing available today. The Sciton allows for the physician to “dial in” a very precise depth of laser penetration to achieve the desired results with fewer risks and less down time than older CO2 laser resurfacing technology.

Typically microdermabrasion exfoliates the stratum corneum (the most superficial layer of the epidermis) to a depth of 2-5 microns (one micron = 1/100 of a millimeter). With Sciton Microlaser peel we remove 20-50 microns to achieve vastly superior results to standard microdermabrasion with only 2-4 days of down time. Each peel is targeted to the patient and the condition being treated.
Microlaser peel can successfully:
- Reduce fine to moderate lines around the lips, eyes and forehead
- Treat pigmented lesions from sun-damage and ageing on face neck and shoulders
- Improve acne scars and other superficial scars
- Treat blotchy and uneven skin
- Improve skin laxity
- Rejuvenate the skin to restore a more healthy glow
What to expect:
Prior to the Microlaser peel we treat the skin with an anesthetic cream for one hour to numb the skin. The procedure itself takes only 20-30 minutes. We will instruct you on post laser skin care. Usually all that is required is a simple barrier ointment for 2 days and then moisturizers can be used (these are supplied as part of your treatment). After 2-3 days of redness the results are apparent and often impressive. The procedure can be repeated every 8 weeks or so to achieve the desired degree of improvement.
