Safe for all skin types, the Vitalize peel is ideal for improving and correcting fine lines, sun damaged skin, abnormal pigmentation, melasma, rough irregular skin, acne and small scars. Skin tone and texture are also improved especially when a series of peels are performed at 3-4 week intervals. The Vitalize peel is an excellent treatment to partner with Intense Pulsed Light to achieve excellent overall skin rejuvenation.

Utilizing a unique blend of safe but effective exfoliating agents the Vitalize peel leaves the skin refreshed, smoother and more radiant. The Vitalize peel removes old dead skin layers (more than microdermabrasion but less the Microlaser Peel) without any significant down time.

Who is not a good candidate for the Vitalize Peel?

• Patients with a history of allergies to aspirin
• Patients who have taken Accutane within the past 6 months
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Patients under the age of 12

Are there any possible side effects?

The skin may look and feel like a mild windburn for the next 2-3 days after your peel.

Mild redness, flaking, dryness, itching, swelling, blistering and crusting can occur but is rare. Usually a mild peeling of the skin occurs 1-3 days after the peel. This should be treated with a moisturizer with SPF such as Vivier daily moisturizing shield with SPF 30. Our office will provide post care instructions for after your treatment.

What should I do after my Vitalize Peel?

• Limit your sun exposure for 1 week after your peel and use daily moisturizing cream with SPF
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 2-3 days as perspiration may irritate your skin
• Do not scrub your face, let it exfoliate naturally
• Do not use any other exfoliating agents such as Retinols or Glycolic acid for one week after your peel

How long does a treatment take?

A typical Vitalize Peel takes about 20 minutes.
